Primary Welcome

We are really pleased you are considering Northstowe Primary School (NPS). The all-through school was envisioned in 2008, where children could join us at Reception and move through their learning journey with us into the Sixth Form. We are excited that this vision is now a reality.

We are a new provision which opened in September 2024 to 22 children in Reception. Whilst NPS will be new to the Northstowe Learning Community, we have a great deal of knowledge and experience in delivering high quality primary education. We are part of Meridian Trust which has 30 schools, 14 of which are Primary schools.

We know that choosing the first school for your child is an important decision and we think that this unique opportunity to join an all through school is a special one. This is the chance for children to grow, learn, be known and achieve their dreams with a continuity of curriculum, values and care.

Each phase of the school will be led by specialists and eventually, each phase will have its own Senior Leadership Team. At present there is one Academy Council for the whole school, but there will be separate standards committees at each phase, to ensure governors keep a close eye on how our children and young people are progressing. Children can join us in Reception (30 places initially) and will progress automatically from our primary phase to secondary phase at the end of Year 6.
