To keep families informed with any Post-16 provider open evenings, we will be sharing information with our families and students via email, Facebook and on this page, which will be regularly updated.

Summer Open Evening

Time: 5:30-8pm

Autumn Term Open Events for 2027 Entry

Some Post-16 providers hold their open events in the Summer Term of Year 10, therefore do not have any Autumn Term open events available.

To support our students with their career exploration for Post-16, we have compiled a list of useful career websites. This list is by no means exhaustive, but it shows a variety of resources available to our students. If you find any useful resources not listed, please let us know so we can add them.

Further Education and Sixth Form Colleges

For information on local education providers, you can find them listed on the Cambridgeshire County Council website. Unlike with primary school and secondary school admissions, you do not apply for further education through the County Council. We will be using MyChoice16 (https://www.mychoice16.co.uk/) for our young people to apply to sixth forms, colleges and training providers.

Apprenticeships and Traineeships

An apprenticeship, which must last for a minimum of 12 months, combines hands-on work with the opportunity to train and obtain qualifications. A traineeship is a skills development programme that includes a work placement. It can last from 6 weeks up to 1 year, though most traineeships last for less than 6 months, they usually take place prior to obtaining an apprenticeship.
