Course Overview
A Level Drama and Theatre is a practical and academic course that explores how theatre is created, performed, and analysed. You will develop your skills as a performer, director, and designer while studying a range of plays and theatre practitioners.
The course combines:
- Practical performance work
- Creative devising
- Written analysis of live and scripted theatre
You will explore how meaning is communicated to an audience and gain a deeper understanding of theatrical style, intention, and impact.
Entrance Requirements
To study A Level Drama and Theatre, students require a GCSE Grade 6 or equivalent in Drama or a similar subject title. Students should also show an interest in Drama and Theatre.
Students must be prepared to carry out a considerable amount of private study and attend support sessions when appropriate.
