Independent Study Periods
For success in sixth form studies, students must develop the skills and habits of independent learning. As part of their timetable, students will have dedicated independent study periods, providing valuable opportunities to consolidate classroom learning, complete controlled assessments and undertake research and wider reading.
Our students are encouraged to use this time effectively and can choose to study in our purpose-built learning resource centre, which offers a quiet and focused environment, or in the Sixth Form Atrium, providing a comfortable and flexible space for independent study. Developing strong independent study habits is essential for academic success and helps prepare students for higher education, apprenticeships, and their future careers.
