We want students to enjoy their learning at Northstowe, and to be proud of who they are and the things they achieve, both inside and outside the classroom.
Our curriculum is broad, enriching and academically rigorous, and constantly seeks to stretch and inspire.
We understand that all children are different and we make it our mission to know and support every one of them to become successful learners, confident individuals, and compassionate and responsible citizens.

Parents and carers have the legal right to request that their child is withdrawn from all or part of RE lessons. You do not need to give a reason for this request.
Before making a decision, we strongly encourage parents/carers to contact the school so we can explain the RE curriculum and answer any questions. This helps ensure you can make an informed choice.
If a student is withdrawn from RE:
- They will be supervised by a member of staff during RE lessons
- They will usually remain on the school site
- Alternative teaching is not normally provided
The right to withdraw applies only to Religious Education and not to other subjects where topics about religion or belief may be discussed.

Remote Learning
What curriculum will my child follow when learning remotely?
Our remote curriculum is closely aligned to the curriculum that students would normally receive in the classroom. This ensures that in the event that remote learning becomes necessary the experience is meaningful and well sequenced and allows students to easily return into classroom learning.
We are committed to providing our students with a broad and balanced curriculum, even if they have to access it remotely. For practical based subjects, however, it is much more difficult to replicate classroom learning at home. In these cases, we will endeavour to maintain engagement in the subject through practical activities or research into and around the subject.
